Paul Segre
President and Chief Executive Officer
Genesys

 

As President and Chief Executive Officer for Genesys, Paul Segre is responsible for setting the company direction and managing global operations. Previously, Mr. Segre served as Chief Operating Officer.

 

Mr. Segre joined Genesys in 2002 as Chief Technology Officer, leading the company's engineering, product management, technical support and program management organizations. In August 2004, Mr. Segre was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for operational management of our worldwide field operations which include sales and services.

 

Mr. Segre's distinguished career includes over 15 years of management experience in the network management and workforce management industry. Before joining Genesys, Mr. Segre was Vice President and General Manager of Alcatel's (now Alcatel-Lucent) Wireline Access business unit, the leading provider of next-generation Digital Loop Carrier products. Previously, Mr. Segre held the position of Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Products Division for DSC and held various senior management positions at AT&T in network management and workforce management.

 

Mr. Segre holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Operations Research from Stanford University.

 

Michael McBrien
Senior Vice President, APAC
Genesys

 

Mr. Michael McBrien is Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific for Genesys, responsible for the company's overall operations across the region, including Australasia, China, India and ASEAN.

 

With broad expertise in multi-channel contact centers and a passion for helping companies realize the business impact of customer service, Michael has played an integral role revolutionizing the voice self-service space, helping companies unleash the power advanced customer service applications. Michael's more than 15 years of industry experience, which also includes a strong background in voice XML applications, web services, and SMS communications, strongly positions him to help Genesys' customers deliver a world-class customer experience and pursue innovation as companies integrate customer service into business processes and extend its value across the enterprise.

 

Michael joined Genesys in the US in March of 2003 as Sales Director for the Genesys Voice Platform (GVP) team, playing a critical role in establishing the company's voice self-service business and growing the installed base from a handful of users to more than 600 customers. In the past year, Michael served as Vice President of the Genesys Voice Application Solutions Team (VAST) in the Americas. His team was responsible for the sales and positioning of GVP, VoiceGenie, Nuance and IBM speech solutions, as well as Virtual Hold Technologies and all professional services related to voice self-service.

 

In his leisure time, Michael enjoys golfing, biking and spending time with his family.

 

Kevin Panozza
CEO, SalesForce

 

Kevin founded SalesForce in partnership with advertising agency DDB in 1994. Now the company is Salmat owned.

 

Kevin's lifetime of experience, and his strong personal convictions about stimulating work environments and empowering cultures, has resulted in SalesForce being voted "Best Employer in Australia and New Zealand" in three consecutive Hewitt surveys - 2004, 2005 and 2007, and in 2007 SalesForce was amongst the top half dozen employers in Asia.

 

Kevin's team has achieved very strong revenue growth in a small, very competitive market; consistent profit growth; organisational stability; and a global reputation for deploying emerging technologies, and new selling and customer services techniques.

 

SalesForce provides more than 60 national and international companies, typically the leading brand in each market vertical, with selling and customer service solutions.

 

Kevin's "Eight Enemies of Engagement" presentation explores and answers some key business questions that are highly relevant today:

Vicki Shields
Vicki Shields Consulting

 

Ms. Vicki Shields is the former General Manager Customer Contact and Engagement for Coles Myer Limited (CML). At CML she was instrumental in putting customers and team members on the strategic agenda as critical inputs for driving business transformation and the cultural change agenda. Prior to this, Vicki had a notable career spanning many years in retail banking with ANZ Bank (Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited). Her achievements as Head of Australian Contact Centers for ANZ included delivering aspirational improvements in customer satisfaction, staff engagement and cost reduction. During her career as a specialist in customer service and contact centers, Vicki has consolidated many disparate silo-based call centers creating common businesses, designed customer-driven processes, improved the bottom line, created special working environments and applied business enabling technology.

 

Vicki has an MBA from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. She is a member of the Genesys Global Advisory Board, a founding member of the Chief Customer Officer Forum, an Ambassador for International Customer Service Professionals and a Board Member with Ronald McDonald House Monash. Vicki was a finalist in the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Awards 2005 (Victoria). She was awarded the ICSP National Outstanding Customer Service Award 2005 and 2004, the ATA Contact Center Leadership Award 2005 and CCMA National Award for Contact Center Leadership 2004.

 

Vicki now has her own Customer Experience consulting practice and is currently consulting to Genesys clients globally.
